Maybe try tv shows that aren’t running anymore. My favorites include Charmed, X-Files and Dark Angel. You can usually find shows on the internet (tvshack.net is a good site), at a library or netflix has alot. I find that there really isn’t anything good on anymore, except for NCIS and Monk (which I’m not sure is still running).

Bones
NCIS
House
Burn Notice
Monk (whih is still running by the way, January 9 new eps start)
Psych
Supernatural
Top Chef
Two and a Half Men is hilarious
I’m sure there are a few more still airing shows that I watch but I can’t remember right now. Hope some of these interest you, they are all great shows to me!

If you like Lost and Heroes you would like ‘Twin Peaks- great mystery/fantasy and ‘Carnivale’, Life on Mars (UK original)
From the comedies there I would suggest Weeds, Curb your Enthusiasm, Entourage, Scrubs
also other great shows; The Wire
Six Feet Under, Sopranos, Mad Men, The West Wing, Dexter, Friday Night Lights

The Terminator show is really good. I also like Eli Stone. Can’t wait for The Closer to start back up.
La Femme Nikita is the best show ever made. If you haven’t seen that, you need to.

Burn Notice has second season started, DVDs at library (possibly worth buying) continues January 22… get caught up & watch.
House impressed me as one of the best characters on TV; unfortunately, emphasis on the glories of highly invasive high tech medicine irritates me, particularly in the absence of any proposed alternatives… still has many episodes worth watching more than twice, and DVDs at library.
La Femme Nikita DVDs fun to watch, possibly worth buying, and available at library.
Anything of Joss Whedon (Buffy, Angel, Serenity, several seasons worth buying) and his Dollshouse starts soon.
Veronica Mars DVDs worth buying, and all the other canceled shows, Dead Like Me, Joan of Arcadia, Wonderfalls, The Tick, see more here:
For comedy, aside from Office, and Fox “News”, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Bill Maher… you can get some of them all by bittorent… let me know if you want me to burn something for you.
Also, know that we still live in a golden age of TV animation (but I’ve listed too much already).
What’s the address for the party on the 31st?

Thomas originally wrote Veronica Mars as a young adult novel, featuring a male as the protagonist. Episodes have a distinct structure: Veronica solves a different case of the week while continually trying to solve a season-long mystery. The first two seasons of the series had a season-long mystery arc, introduced in the first episode of the season and solved in the season finale. The third season took on a different format, focusing on smaller mystery arcs that would last the course of several episodes.

I am simple ahardcore fan of this nice episode. Stargate Atlantis follows the present-day adventures of John Sheppard and his military team from Earth that, along with two dozen other teams, venture to distant planets. They use an alien device known as a Stargate, which is housed in the city of Atlantis on the planet “Lantea”.
