No, You are all very misinformed as to what is happening on heroes. It has been said in interviews with the writers/producers that sylar lost ALL (Excluding intuitive aptitude, and telekinesis) of his powers from season one when he contracted the Shanti virus. So far he has telekinesis, healing, alchemy, sound manipulation, and the ability to know objects history by touching them. That is it, he did not have his enhanced hearing in that episode.
No you noob, Sylar stole the hearing ability from the woman in season one who can hear when the weather is coming or not. She can predict it. Thats not the ability to hear people from a far distance!
No, but i do think it is important that the viewer is left with an impression that is coherent and consistent with regard to each character. In the scene at the carousel there was the distinct impression that Sylar did not hear what was being said. It wasn’t until later that you realize he knows what was said, but it’s not explicit, so you’re left to decide whether he was told by Claire or Noah, or whether he did hear what was said (unlikely given his body language during the carousel scene).
Yeah I think Sylar heard it all, but the producers didn’t take in like a scene.
It been said that the producers has told that when Sylar was infected with the Shanti virus, he lost all power except telekinesis and intuitive aptitude. But in the future he has Isaac’s power and Ted’s power. Now I think Sylar has all his power restored, but he didn’t take Candice’s power of illusion.
What? Do you want everything to be deducted for you?
Producers know as everyone knows that Sylar has that ability, but they just wanted to lighten the perspective of Mr. Bennet’s side thinking he can’t hear. Besides, I bet they don’t want to have to remind every time what Sylar can do.
I thought it was a good touch, letting the audience play a more active role in the development of events instead of just explaining everything to us as it happens, this way it has more value!
But yeah i agree it was kinda whack though how they didnt have Sylar tune in with his enhanced hearing ability. They need to be more diligent about keeping track of Sylars abilities.
Yeah, it looked like Sylar couldnt hear what Bennet was saying to Steve when Bennet was commanding Steve to kill Sylar. But then later in the car Sylar indicates that he did in fact hear what Bennet was saying, or that he knew what Bennet said.
I’ll try and make this a none spoiler but: WHAT THE HELL happend to Sylars “Super Hearing” ability….”Oh lets just leave this out and hope no one notices”….If you guys know what part im talking about tell me your views on how badly this was written. Over all disappointing but an amazing season none the less.
I don’t think so.. remember, in the last episode Angela send Hiro to find Adam where he buried him. If Adam were the father of the Petrelli Brothers, Angela would not look so shocked in this preview

Episode 7 – Elle will be returning to the Bennet home. But it won’t be a pleasant encounter. There’s going to be some cat fight action.
